New Cloud offerings and Datacenter

It has been almost two years since we moved into our flagship data center, Iron Mountain AMS-1, in Haarlem next to Amsterdam. We did this together with our big brother Eranium, which has become a very successful connectivity provider in the Netherlands. After these two years, our contract with Iron Mountain came to an end; we were unable to negotiate a healthy deal with them.

We have decided to part ways and to look for a new reliable data center operator. In our efforts to “go local” and focus on sovereignty, we decided to move most of our infrastructure to local operators. For Hybula's infrastructure, we have found a new home in a partner that we have worked closely with in the last year: NorthC. In particular, their facility in Amsterdam, Kabelweg. Unlike Iron Mountain AMS-1, this facility is closer to the heart of the internet in Amsterdam (e.g., Science Park) and much easier to work with. NorthC is a Dutch data center group with many EU-focused data centers in the Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland.

In September this year we finalized the migration to NorthC and we are now fully running in production. This month we also refreshed our cloud offerings, a new Premium Cloud lineup.
